I came across this link of a pretty groovy new contraption called the Camtimer.
Here is a demo video, http://www.pibtv.com/movies/CAMTIMER.wmv

Went to the PRI show in Orlando last year and saw this "Camtimer" at the Cloyes booth. They were using it to demonstrate their Hexadjust product. I was more interested in the Camtimer system than the Hexadjust product. They referred me to Machinery Row where the Camtimer booth was. The booth was busy so I just watched from the rear of the crowd.
They had it set up on 2 engines, a small block Chevy and a OHC Ford. It was sweet on how fast and easy the system was to use and the data and graphs it produced. (I like data)

I have been in talks with one of the engineers for Camtimer. We may get our hands on one to check out and see how it works first hand. Certainly is a steep price tag though.

Well in further talks the 2007 price is down to $8400, still oput of reach for most but a little more reasonable.
In talks with my contact he has told me of a customer that has used it over 3000 times and never missed a beat.
