Finally got pics! HID Headlights and Fogs
I've had these H.I.D. headlights, and fog lights for a while, but haven't had time to get pics. I didn't have time to clean the car, but it still has some shine. The headlights are i think 6000k, maybe 7000k? I forget, but they were from a 2003 Nissan Maxima. The fog lights are 10000k, in the stock fog light housing. Check em out...
this one is blurry, it was just a test shot for lighting. I should have kept my car like that to snap a good one, but didn't think about it.
Very briefly, this is how i did the headlight part.
First off, My brother totaled his maxima. 02 or 03, im not positive. So i yanked out the headlights, along with all the wiring, ballasts, bulbs, and etc.
I measured my sealed head lamp, it measured 6.5"x4" I think! I did this about a year ago, so I may be off. I looked for universal head lamps in that size. There are plenty. Some plastic, some glass, some with rectangular shaped halo things, etc. I got mine from autozone, for about $39 plus tax. Thick plastic, very nice quality.
Then i removed the old sealed beams, test fitted these, and they fit perfectly!
After that, it was just plug and play. I twisted the bulbs in place, in the new head lamps. Mounted the Ballast to the insides on both headlights, near the washer fluid tank, so it doesn't really show much. Spliced the harness, got rid of the factory connector, put in butt connectors, positive to positive, Negative to Negative.
And you're done. It took me about an hour to do it. not very long, and it is well worth it!
The only thing about my headlights that i do not like, is that i do not have high beam. The kit i have is only low beam. On ebay you can buy a high/low beam HID kit, for a decent price. I recommend that. Honestly though, If i did have high beams, I wouldn't ever use them. My headlights are BRIGHT! and with my fogs on as well, I get cursed out by everyone that isn't behind me. hahaha

Thanks guys. The pics really don't show how bright the lights are, like Brian said, it's hard to get HIDs in pictures. No, I don't have a write up on the swaps, but i'll try to do a write up with pics whenever i help my cousin change his over. It's fairly simple.
