the point of having a spoiler is to create a downforce which in turn puts the tires on the ground harder increasing traction.

i know that..but it seems the cars designed to have more of a flat spoiler not somthing thats sticking up on the back. the RK sports sight advertises it as a scca style so figuring it might actually work with its body style.

It is good for high speed handling, BAD for 1/4 mile drag racing...

anybody know of a 5in or 3in that will fit on an SS?

RK Sports say theirs will only work/fit on "non SS" or LMP and others say nothing at all about fitment other than will need painting

....seems to me to be the perfect compliment to 6LE's front splitter

I LOVE them from a distance, but I hate how they look "stuck on" to the body--like the RS spoiler. Has anyone bought one of these and bondoed and blended it into the rear quarter panels? I think that would be awesome.

its going to hurt more than help. for straight line speed, you aren't going to want much downforce. these cars just don't have enough power to need it. remember the downforce helps with traction, but only around 80+. by then, you should have good enough traction and the wind pressure will just slow you down. A koenigsegg doesn't have much downforce (esp version without the little spoiler) and it has over 800 horsepower and weighs 700 less than a vette. and those things go unmatched in oem 1/4 mile (besides maybe the T1).

also, it can hurt with highspeed handling too. yes, it gives better traction to the REAR wheels, but this DECREASES traction to the front wheels. the more downforce the rear has, the more lift the front will have. You'd have to balance it with some kind of good lip spoiler. I remember in a jag review, the thing had bad steering over 100 because the front was lifted and had less pressure due to the rear lip spoiler.

just mold it on since you like the looks, i do too (molded). but if you are pure performance drag, stay away.

I have not noticed any handling problems at speeds up to 155 MPH so I do not think that you will have any at 135...

I like them because I think they are badazzz looking cars and they are different than the 1000's of other f body cars that look the same that you see coming down the road..to me being different is better...since I put the hood and spoiler on my car I have received many compliments on it car over the years ..but the main thing is that I like the way it looks which is the most important thing...anyway to each his own if we were all the same it would be a very dull world.

I think it only looks good on the Dick Harrell camaros because of the wide fenders. It looks out of place on a regular camaro.
