Default Phase 2 Is Now Complete.... Trans Am Is In Storage *Pics*

Well it has been a great summer/season. I stored the Trans Am today

Here Is Phase 1 Info

Here is what i did for Phase 2....

- Washed the car with dish soap
- Dryed it with the Absorber chamois
- Did not claying - As it came out of the garage maybe 10 times this year and i out on 1,570 miles on it
- Meguiars Step 1 cleaner wax. This gets rid of fine scrathes and swirls
- Meguiars NXT wax. This was applied with a buffer
- But stock rims and tires back on

Here are the pics as the day progressed......

Here are my reflections shots

yeah winter sucks up here. i'm not looknig forward to putting my car away yet either. luckily in my case i just have to disconnect the battery and put the cover on it since its already always parked in the garage where i'll store it. i actually bought mine down in ft lauderdale when i was living down there so its never had to go through any northern winter

Thanks for the complimnets

For both mirros and the sail panel i used Meguiars Step 1 which is a cleaner wax. It removes fin scratches and swirls. I applied this all by hand, and took it off by hand. Then i used Megiuars NXT wax. I applied it with a buffer using a micrfiber towel, removed it with a buffer using a terry cloth towel, then i used my microfiber towel and polished it by hand jsut to make sure i got all the wax off

I have a FTRA. so the bottom of the radiator support where the lower air box sits is foamed off, the bottom side of my lid is sealed with foam and what you see in the pic is sealed with foam.

When using the FTRA, air travels to the spot with less resistants, that is the bottom of the car, so with all that i said above being sealed off it pressurizes the airbox sucking in all the air at the bottom of the car

I love the look of them rear wheels on there. Did you have to do anything to make them fit? Car looks awesome

If your sail panels and the roof is extremely scratched up, hazed, or has a ton of swirls in it, you need to buff it with a heavy compound and work your way up to a finish compound, then wax. My 93's panel was destroyed, and it came out as a mirror with the right amount of polishing and work..took around 4 hours...sorry to thread hijack...nice looking car, it sucks living in Chicago..but it does save miles, my car has been in storage since beginning of september due to college.
