Default gots some polished and chrome under hood but need advice?

Just added a little bling polished caps and some chrome and clear lid. I have a red strut tower brace and my buddy says it look's like crap should I powdercoat to a finish close to chrome since the bmr brace can't be polished cause of the type of metal it will rust. I need some advice?

Personally, I'd just paint it black.

Right now it looks a little out of place.

Also, do you have close up pictures of your battery cover? It looks like a picture of a Firehawk wheel...?

HEY NAPER,
A good way to dress up under the hood that dosen't cost a lot$$$$ is remove the air pump and all the hoses Cleans it up under there
Oh and yeah I would just paint the strut bar and put an LS1TECH sticker on it
LOOKIN GOOD!!!

Well if you get ride of the red bar I'd also suggest getting rid of all the other red accents under the hood too. And you could polish that bar & then have it clear powder coated. then it couldn't rust.

I think it looks fine as it is now. Leave it red. It works with your calipers and the other bits of red.

I hear ya about polishing but you can't polish the BMR braces cause of the metal it will rust from what my powder coater told and he also polishes so I believe him. I was told there is powder coat color that is close to chrome thats what I was thinking. As for the red accent tubing there was alot more when I got the hawk and I am going to take them all off. except the maf and red sticker on plate of the lid will stay red

You could have it chromed for less than $200. Either that or PC black. PCed near chrome would look like crap with all the other polished parts you have.

Looks good

The strut tower brace is made of regular steel so it will rust if you polish it unless you use a protective coating (clear paint, wax, etc). Powder coating will never look like chrome, more like a bright silver. It will definitely cost less though...

good choice i don't really like all the red stuff. I would say polish it and seal it or clear coat it. It wont rust if you do that. Also i love you battery cover. where did you get it? I want one similar.

^^Thats what I was sayin too. Get it polished up & the clear powdercoated. No chance for rust then. It cannot rust without moisture & air combined getting to the bare metal surface.

I think the red is OK since you have the red calipers and a little other red under the hood. If it was the only red on the car then yes it would have to go. But I like red.

I think black would look better, and that battery cover is pretty slick.
