Default Head Lights

well when i bought my car i had the old oxidation on my head lights. It absolutely drives me nuts when i look at it. so i decided to get some 1500 grit sand paper and rub some of that off. well i managed to smooth it out really well, but then it looked worse....Sooo i went to use some plastix polisher. But it didn't really help any...im guessing i need a good headlight restorer or new head lights. Any suggestions?

Mine were really bad I wish I had taken a before and after photos....I used 400 grit wet sand paper , 800 grit wet sand paper, and 1500 grit wet sand paper...and the some plastic polish with a porter cable electric buffer and it made them look like they were brand new..only took 30 minutes of my time...I tried polished them by hand and that suxs big time..it would have taken forever to do them..so I got out the buffer and knocked them out in no time..you need to use a light touch because the plastic lenses are EZ to burn.

I just did mine last week. They were in terrible shape!!!

I did 400 wet, 800 wet, 1500 wet, and then 2000 wet. Then I finished it off with Novus Polishing kit, using number 1, then 3, then finishing it off with 2. And it looks good as new!!!

I talked to someone on fquick who tried the Plastx and he said he didn't get good results from it. I recommend just getting the Novus kit. It works. I'm living proof!
