Take'em off. Rim them off quick so that junk *** sticky **** comes with it. If you pull them off slow you gotta peal it all off. When its all off there will be some stuff left on the car. Use googone to get it off.

if your car is old, the paint may be a different shade underneath than moldings than the res tof the car is, be careful.

If your side molding has mildew on them I'd be afraid to see what they look like underneath it.

with our cars being so low, i think prob 75% of the cars out there would still ding the door up WITH the moldings on. the only thing they really protect em from are other lower cars.

Use a hair dryer or heat gun (be careful though) and heat the molding up a little. This will make it come off easier and will leave less of a mess.

Cut them off with fishing line (use it like a saw between the molding and the body) and then just get the glue off and your fine. Pulling them isnt the best idea!

pulling it is absolutely fine, if you are heating the areas up before yo pull to loosen the adhesive.
