No. The kelvin rating is for the temperature color of the light. The higher you go the less light output. Example 6000K is brighter than 10000K.

5000K = almost pure white
8000K = white with more blue tint
10000K = white and blue tint
12000K = purple with a slight hint of white tint

Have had my 10000K lowbeam/fog lights on for almost 2 years; no problems here!

No. Quite the opposite actually.

The K number is the color temp. It is not the brightness (well not directly, I'll explain). 4000K - 5000K is the brightest. Continuing up the color scale, the light gets bluer then purpler and the lumen output (the actual measurement of light) decreases. In other words, a 10000K HID kit is dimmer than a 4300K HID kit. Our eyes are least sensitive to blue light. Blue light also scatters more easily. In the end, we can see better with a 4300K HID kit for many reasons.

Nah, the "****K" resembles the kelvin temperature I believe.. if you want the brightest, best performing light, get 5000-6000K. It should be pure white maybe a SLIGHT SLIGHT tint of blue. If you want blue/white, get 8000K (my fogs), for deep blue, get 10,000K for deep blue/purple get 12000K (my lows).

I got an ebay kit from a very good seller/company, and i've told many people to get the same and they all like them, as do I. I've never had any problems and their 100% plug and play. The seller's name is supervtec , type in "SUPER SLIM HID KIT" to find it. The ballast is smaller than a cell phone.

^Daytime so their nowhere near as deep of a color as they are at night

I actually just bought a slim kit from supervtec, and it will not work using the stock wiring on my Camaro. He has not replied to any of my messages and I and most likely going to send him some negative feedback on ebay. The kit seems nice and all, and I know how to set up a relay to make them work so I'm not that concerned. Maybe my car is just a bad apple and my issue is uncommon, however a little customer service would be appreciated

I've heard that the +/- wires at the headlight connector on the Camaro are backwards compared to most other cars. Swap the wires (or if possible) flip the connection.

I had to do this when I installed my HIDs.

Well, D.D:

I actually replaced my stock foglight assemblies with a pair of Hella Micro DE driving lights. THEN, I discovered HID. Eventually, I replaced the stock bulbs with a 10000K HID kit. Worked out great. I'm sure you can use an HID kit with the stock fog light assemblies...mine just needed to be replaced.
