This is a car I have been looking forward to doing for a very long time. It finally showed up and I got to work on it! Unfortunately....someone decided to buff the hood before it showed up at the dealer. I think a blind man could have buffed it better. Deep swirls, buffer trails, and holograms all over it. The rest of the car was covered in hard water spots. With some work though, it all came out and the car is perfect.
I gotta tell you, this thing is LOW! It took 4 of us to get it into the wash bay. There is a 2 1/2" speedbump entrance to the washbay and pulling the car in was terrifying. With it turned sharply to the left we had LESS than 1/4" clearance on the carbon fiber gfx on the side! But we got it in and out safely.
I feel very privileged to have done this car. Only two people were allowed to even sit in the car and to drive it. I was very happy two be one of them. I didn't get to drive it far, but I did get to drive it!
Ok, onto the details....
-Washed with Zaino Z7 car wash
-Clayed with Zaino Z18 claybar
-Leather conditioned with Zaino Z10
-Makita Rotary with Lake Country orange pad - Menzerna SIP
-Porter Cable with Lake Country blue pad - Menzerna MP
-Jeweled the clearcoat to a brilliant finish
-2 coats of Zaino Z5pro with ZFX
-1 coat of Zaino Clear Seal
-Final wipedown with Zaino Z8 Grand Finale
What we started with:
All finished!!!

Firstly, nice job on the detail, that thing is spotless.... second, OMFG that thing is sweet! I think I would give away a family member to be able to get within 10 feet of that thing, let alone sit in it... or ...heaven forbid.... drive it... They did'nt let you take it for a hot lap or anything? lol do you get to do some "showing off" to show the customers what the old girl can do? haha

Thanks guys. I had a great time with this car. I think I put about 14 hours into it. I had probably 20 people come by to watch me work on it. The sales guys were making their calls letting people know it was here, so people were coming in all day to look at it. A few asked me to start it up and rev it, but that was a liberty I wasn't gonna take lol.
I do most of the Corvettes for Boardwalk. All the black, crystal reds, cyber grays, and jetstream blues. I just contract with them. Most of my business is still local folks.
