Should I get the lip on my 10 spokes machined/ polished?
I've always loved the way a car looks with a polished lip on the wheels. I was wondering what my silver 10 spoke SS wheels would look like if they had a ploished lip like the Grand Sports have? Any coments?

I think it would look pretty good. I really like the silver ZR1's with the polished, so the 10 spokes would look really nice too, IMO. I say go for it. I started polishing my calipers, so I can help if you need it since I got a little polishing experience.

I've heard that any wheel shop can do this for you. Something like 10 or so bucks per wheel. Theres a shop here in Houston called Wheel America or something like that which I plan to deal with.

Here is a picture of kinda what you are looking for, although it is not polished all the way down to the face of the rim. I got this set of wheels in a trade and 2 of then had slight gouges from de-mounting the tires. So, I intended to have them powdercoated charcoal grey and then have the beads polished similar to the Grand Sport wheels. I could not find anyone with a machine to polish them, so I got the sandpaper out and started experimenting. Here is the end result.
The wheels sanded and polished pretty easily. My concern with the way I did them is that when they are rolling you will see variances. The beads have a lip you can sand along, and it looks pretty good where the sanding ends and the paint begins, but I haven't used the rims since I did this so I really don't know how they look mounted and rolling. A machine that can grind and polish is the way to go, but I asked the question of what kind of machine could be used for this and did get any real leads. If you find out anything more please let us know.
