Default Help me find some HEADLIGHTS

Hey guys I am looking for some headlights and am having a hard time finding what I am looking for. I really want some "smoked" headlights. I don't want halos or covers. So I guess I am looking for a dark looking stock style headlight. Oh yeah my headlights are to far gone to perform the whistler mod. If anyone could point me to where I could find some headlights like this it would be very much appreciated.

,Chase

You could buy some single halos and take the middle (halo) part out and do the whistler mod to them...much cheaper than buying oem headlights.

Yeah it looks like maybe they are similar to the whistler modded lights but I think I might be looking for something a little darker than these.

Those don't look tinted, it looks like the lighting they used to take the pics was probably off...

You could always shoot clear with a black tinting agent in it to get the "smokey" look you're going for.

Haha that is what I did to the ones I have now. I used clear coat with black base mixed in. It looks really good but I removed the weatherstriping to keep from having tape lines and when I reapplied them they look all yacked up lol.

the ones you have is just a piece covering the outer part of the headlight, in order to get it darker you have to do the whistler mod...which really isnt too bad to do. Id say go with what perfect z28 said with the single halo headlights. A lot cheaper

Here is what my headlights look like. I like the color but look how messed up the stripings ended up lol. Sorry they are so little I copied them from photobucket and tried a lot of different sizes but I can't get them to appear any larger.

I like the tint but I am not really big into the projector scene. Thanks for the pic though. It would be sweet if I could find a tint like that on an oem style headlight.

Still looking for ideas. As of now I am thinking oem replacements with the Whistler mod but I don't really want to fork out that much money for something I have to stick in the oven. Haha

You can have yours cleaned im sure they will come out decent then you take it to a paint shop and tell them you want a clearcoat applied to the headlight with a tiny bit of dark tint, and they will come out great

those are the lights i had on my Z... just look through the pics till you find them... http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/g...k651/?start=80

i know you said you didnt like them, but just giving you an idea of what they look like installed..

you can get halo lights with a black background (basically whistler mod) and take the halo out... would look like a stock headlight.. they are like 110 bucks shipped..

as far as head light covers, if yours are hazed over real bad.. it will look like **** still, with the lights on you will see the haze still..
