CF Hood?
hey guys i have a white Z28 right now its gonna be pearl white in about a year im thinking of throwing on a CF SS Hood. what do you think? anyone got that done?

Do you plan on painting it? Becuase carbon fiber hoods look nothing but out of place to me, and most others if its left unpainted. High quality, light weight. Lots of reasons to install one. Raw looks isnt one. If you install it, then paint everything but leave a manta or some type of accent/stripe it will look bad ***. But just having a hood mismatched makes any car look like it was wrecked to me

lol yea i saw a guy on here that painted just the manta (i suppose, where the scoop is lifted) and it looked badass. but its gonna be that and black Zr1s with a dish in the back i wanna run 325 in the back and 295 in the front on some Black ZR1s. with limo tint. and my berger panel is blue. here is a pic. trust me the car is a mess right now. its getting the trans rebuilt i havent even started on the body yet. the berger matches my intake.
and yes the hatch is getting repainted to lol. my dad threw up the idea of painting the hatch blue as well and running like a hockey strip all the way back to connect it. idk lol

idk i would really hate to spend 700-800 bucks on a hood to just paint it. do the make Carbon Fiber SS Manta Overlays? like something i could mold to my stock hood and do that? obvioulsy it wouldnt just be thrown on like a damn civic. i would take the time to fiberglass and bondo it. or what if i cut out the Carbon FIber all in all. since im not getting much good feedback and just get a white SS hood. and spray the manta blue like my berger is? any suggestions there? sorry guys im just very open minded with this car right now. nothing set in stone. if anyone is really good with photoshop can i send you pics of the front of my car and get you to photoshop all this that we posted up.

Yeah, I was the first to take the risk, fitment was no worse than a fiberglass hood, and other than having to pin it (although some haven't), it worked out great, and shaved off a few more pounds than a standard Fiberglass hood.

the thing that suprised me was 325 in the back?!
thats pushing it..my bro has 315 and we had to hammer the **** out of the inside and roll his fender it just clears but hits in hard turns..
and for the front 295 is wayy to big im pretty sure it will hit and give u a shitty turn radius ill just put 275s.
just saying you should look it up before you start buying stuff...
