i did mine.. i look great.... for about a week... i live in texas and it got hot and started pealing when it cooled down... so i bough another one put it on but i hate that plain black color... so i painted again but this time got some rubber clear coat paint and when over it when i got done painting it.... and it held up every since.... 2 years going on now.

hahahah, you will be regretting that one. it will last a little while but the more the boot moves (everytime you shift) it is gonna crack and eventually start falling off leaving nice red paint chips all over your carpet and center console.

Yup u guys r right!!! its CRACKN rite off there. Does that rubber clear coat work good? i love the way the red on the black leather looks and i would like to keep it that way because i know that no one makes a boot that looks like that.

My TA had a red leather shift boot in it when i bought it.. I HATED it and got rid of it asap. To each his own tho.. I'm just sayin this cuz i know they do make red shift boots.
I have no idea where the previous owner got it from tho, so I'm no help there sorry..
