Default Question for those of you with VFN Sunoco hoods

I just got mine this morning and while I was looking at it I realized that the underside isn't going to paint too well without quite a bit of work. Are you guys just painting the top side of the hood and leaving the underside bare fiberglass?

You are probably talking about the area under the cowl that is rough fiberglass? I just had mine painted over. Its not as smooth as the rest of the underhood but it doesnt look bad.

Yeah, that's what I was mainly referring to. I'll just talk to the painter and see what we can swing. I was just wanting to see what some of you other guys were doing because it looks like it'll take some prep to get the underside of the hood ready for paint.

Thanks man, and I'll be getting with you soon for getting those calipers done. It's just been a wild few months with getting stuff done!

I didn't paint the underside. I like the satin look personally but it isn't for everyone (definitely not for show car peeps).

Yeah, see, we're thinking about getting into showing the car a little bit so I think I'll go ahead and get all of it painted. I might leave the under side of the cowl the standard black but paint the rest of the underside of the hood though... might look kind of cool.

A Sunoco is going to look killer on your car man. If I had a camaro it would have a Sunoco hood
