Default How to add stainless steel trim to Trans Am bezel...

It is a MAJOR PITA but I did it...

I bought a brand new T/A bezel and then the brand new stainless piece and had to REALLY work at it for 3 hours to get it in there...

You have to cut this out...

Slide the stainless piece in...

Attach it and then epoxy the old piece back on...

To get this...

Cost was about $100 (at the time I paid $50 for the T/A Bezel and $50 for the stainless piece) + epoxy and time.

If anyone wants it that is how you can make it or I'll sell mine for $100 shipped since I'm working on making my own style bezel...

Sorry but I don't like it.. I think the stainless is distracting and doesn't look good on there... congrats on figuring it out, but not for me..

Why couldn't you just start with the Camaro lens and stick the bezel to the stock gauges?

You buy that stainless piece on ebay. They don't tell you the T/A Bezel it is supposed to go on is sealed... That is where my write up comes in...

No depth. Then you just have a flat piece of metal, doesn't look like a "bezel". Know what I mean?

Ha. Glare isn't bad.. The "glam" factor is what they'd sue over

You could! I know what I had mine in my silver car the bezel didn't line up right.. On the speedo the hatches were covered more than others and there was a little gap on one side where the other side was overlapping the hatches..

IDK if anyone else had that problem.. But I did..

Or you just use the stock camaro bezel and buy one of the T/A bezels on ebay and place it between the cluster and the camaro bezel, looks better IMO anyway and much easier...

I'm doin the exact same thing soon. Except I only paid $15 shipped for my aluminum bezel overlay & it's brushed to match my other accents instead of polished or chrome. Should be more subtle with brushed.

Plus to make it flow you really need the following at least to tie it all together:

Billet HVAC/Headlight *****
Boyd vent rings
aftermarket gauges with brushed bezel rings also help
and I opted for a Humount piece painted silver along with all my speaker grills
