Default Got a Sunoco hood

Well I got a sunoco hood put on in like October but never took any pics and then put the car away for the winter since it sucks here in MI. Went to get something out of the car the other day so I figured I'd snap a few pics. Didnt pull the car out of the garage so they arent the best pics, but it looks mean from the front. Let me know what you think. I also did the whistler mod to the headlights

I'm wondering if I should leave the front grille off or put it back on.

please go outside and take some more pictures NOW!!! Looks good!!! I have a black Z28 with a Sunoco hood that will be getting painted in the spring time. I kind of ruled out the red side stripes (have red calipers, Z28 emblems and CAMARO insert) but damn, from the front the red side stripes look pretty nice, would definitely look to see more angles.

Looks great but get rid of the silver mesh. Either do black or none. But the hood looks great.

I have thought about blacking out the silver mesh and then possibly filing in the camaro lettering in silver or red. I just know know if it will be too much black on the front end. The side markers are blacked out too. Its either that get an slp bowtie grille, or paint the billet grille black and add a red bowtie. Anyone good with photo shop that could show me what it would look like??

I probably wont have any more pics until spring time. It is stored at a relatives house and I didn't want to start it up and pull it out yet. But i will post up a lot of pics when the weather is nicer. I like the red stripes on the side. I have some red on the seats the camaro lettering on the back and the brake calipers and on the center caps for the rims, so the stripes match well.

I have always liked that hood, looks great with the red. As for the grille, I'd suggest:

So why would you be wanting all new ideas to do and to do more work to the car when you are selling it? Just curious that's all! The hood looks great btw!

I'm going back for my masters degree right now so the car will always be for sale to pay off the student loans, but I don't think i will ever stop getting the mod bug. If gotten a bunch of low baller offers but I don't need to sell the car since its paid for, but while I'm driving it I might as well enjoy it. The old hood had a lot of rock chips and I never liked the plain Z28 look so i got the sunoco hood.

how much prep work and adjustments had to be done to the hood? did you get the hood struts from VFN as well?

Not sure on the prep work as I had someone else do it, but it cost me $600 to have the hood prepped painted and also the front end painted. But it was someone that I knew so I got a pretty good deal. I still use my stock hood struts, which is what VFN recommended that I use. I also looked on the forum and it was almost 50/50 for people who bought struts with less pressure, but VFN told me that the newest version of their hood is reinforced in the strut area so there will not be any rippling. So it is fine to use the stock struts.

as far as the hood goes, i love it.
flows with the body lines of the car so well.

then as far as the grill, i'd leave it off, and fill the holes.

although i do agree with 99bowtieZ as far as the grill he posted, billet behind looks awesome.

haha, without the grill though, i kinda reminds me of a big mouth bass.
ha.

Thanks, it's my car. I think it is the best way to use the grille...
