Default Finished the VHT'd tails and am test fitting Sunoco/SS spoiler *pics*

Just bored tonight taking the weekend off from drinking lol (Everyone needs a break every now and again). I spent a few hours earlier today installing the VHT'd tails that I finished a few nights ago and started fitting the new Sunoco hood and new SS spoiler from thespoilerdepot on Ebay prior to paint. I should be getting them sprayed here in the next few weeks along with getting the TT2's ordered and halo projectors/HID's installed. I'll be ordering a strano suspension setup here soon too. Yeah, I spent this winter tending to the appearance aspect of the car... Oh well, just though I'd share the progress so far for those of you who are interested.

Thanks

Fitment is awesome. Fit's like OEM.

Lol, visually? or for another more morally minded reason?

Well, I think that may be why Xtinct didn't like the SS emblems on the car lol... It wasn't an SS. It's a Z28. (So no SS hood obviously). I just like SS theme on the camaro's best and had a buddy here in town who had a set of polished stainless SS emblems that I thought would look killer on the car so I figured hell why not just convert it over? It'll look good. It never bugs me when people do it, just so long as they don't try to pass it off as a genuine SS. It's a personal preference thing I suppose. Ah well to each his own.

Yeah. It is sticking out. It's got about an eight of an inch on the front seem that it can move forward. I noticed that after the pics were taken. It'll square up just fine.

Thanks man!

looks like it's gonna be a sister of my car. i bought the SS spoiler painted to match (SOM) paint was good, good match. i was a little disappointed with the actual fit and finish of the spoiler. the corner lines are rounder than an OEM SS spoiler, and the body lines aren't quite as true. still a HUGE improvement over the Z spoiler. And the Sunoco will be on order as soon as VFN pulls the trigger on the next GP. i was told it would be in a week.

+2. Be proud it's a Z28, no need to say it's something it's not.

The car looks like it will look great, please post pictures when you get it painted too.

Well that's what I was trying to say. I'm not ashamed that it's a Z lol, it's the same car. I just like the styling cues of the SS which is why I switched it over. Like I said, I'll be the first to tell you it's a Z, I'm not trying to pass it off for something it's not.

But thanks man! I'll be sure to post up some pics when I'm done!

No, it isn't tightened down yet. It was just basically set on the in those pics. I messed with it later in the day though and it looks like we may have some other fitment issues. The entire spoiler looks to be tweaked a bit and isn't sitting right. Also, it doesn't sit far enough forward to flush up in the back. I contacted thespoilercompany through ebay about it and I'll see what they have to say...

As far as the decklid/post gaps, most guys don't have a problem here from what I understand. I obviously do. About a quarter inch worth. It will need to be tightened down I think. I will just mark on the decklid and drill two holes. Yes, they included pins for this.
