Default lighter hood struts...

Where can I get them... I know some people don't think they are needed, but I want some. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Nice. That would make it way easier for most people.
Finding struts that worked was not that easy.
Although, it's ironic VFN is now selling them because I was assured multiple times by VFN that aftermarket struts were completely unnecessary.

Lighter hood struts are a must, I will be buying some soon from VFN or the ones described in the thread above (was quoted $49 shipped to CA for two). Right now with my Sunoco hood I am using one strut, when I put both struts on I was too scared to close it because it felt like I was going to snap the hood in two.

there are plenty of people on here that use their stock struts with no problems. VFN has said that there early hoods did have this weakness but has since been remedied and is no longer an issue. i will buy the lighter struts as well, better safe than sorry. im sure the lighter struts are for different hoods other than just the Sunoco, they do make more than 1 hood
