Default 18" Torq Thrust II's?

Does anyone know the pros and cons of throwing some 18x9.5 on a 98-02 Camaro? Does anyone have any pictures if they have already done this? I didn't want to lower it to get the wheel-wells full and risk ground clearance.

Thanks for any info!

I looked into this a while back and they only made 18x8 and 18x10.. no 9's -- I didnt want 10's up front so I went another route.. the 302 Westech Concept Camaro runs 18x10 rims all around and looks great but I personally didnt want to go that large..

I have the 18x10's on all 4 corners, they fit nicely. Here is a side shot.

God that TA is sick! Very nice car , I love the stripes! The torq thrust look great! What as a ball park figure for the wheels? $300-$330?
What tires are you running?

Thanks!

Thanks, really do appreciate the compliment. The rims were like $460.00/ea. I got a deal on them, so I got them for cost which was 425.00/ea. The reason that they are so much is due to the 18's have to be custom made. They only make the 18's on request. I am running 275/35/18 up front and 295/35/18 out back they are Michelin Pilot Sports. Thanks again for the compliment..Michael

I too was looking into the TT 2's in 18's and found they don't make them in 9's.

I called up anyway to order the 18X8's and they said it would be a 12 week build period as they were a special order item....

Me being the impatient guy I am said hell no to that and the mucho bucko's they were going to cost me, and decided to go with some other wheels in stead......

It does take some time to get them. Took mine 6 weeks to come in, but well worth the wait. 12 weeks is a bit too long to wait for rims though. If they told me 12 weeks I would of said forget it as well. That is just crazy talk...

Eddie2001Ws6 - Thanks man

As for the stripes they are painted on. HACKERJOE painted them on for me, he does awesome work.

If you want decals I know that Kevin @zbaron sells them www.zbaron.com he is real nice and will take good care of ya. I know that Chris (BluHawk141) on the MFBA board had stripes put on his Firehawk and they were decals. Maybe put up a post in the Illinos section and he should be able to help you out. I think that he told me that his were around the $550 range.

Good luck with it, and if I can help out in anyway please just let me know. Also would like to see the car when you do have them put on.

Thanks again, Michael

Mafs, Thankx for the help... i think i found a pretty reliable guy to paint them on out here. And.. on a even better note.. i found the best hook up a guy could ask for. i m gettin the TTII's at cost, 186.85 a peice, and at a 2 week waiting period. so 800 for all. i think ill blow my money on stripes first. ill keep you updated on the progress, and thankx for the help again, ill have a pic up soon.

Hey MAFs00WS6, great looking car!! I never get tired of that picture, lol. Where did oyu get that bg bird in the back ,and what color would you suggest on my car. My car is white and has black stickers everywhere, red calipers with the aluminium caliper decals. Thanks! Should I go white to match paint, or something else?
