Default Dot Matrix, Vinyl Strip?

Does anyone have a vinyl strip or anything else over their rear window to cover the dot matrix? If so can you please post a pic of it.

I will be taking the camaro back to the tint shop next week to have a sunstrip applied to the windshield and I am thinking of having something done to cover the dot matrix on the rear. Thanks!

Paint it flat black.

Only way to do it right.

Do a search, there are a few threads of this out there.

I painted myn, then had the tint guy put the tint overtop of it so it wouldn't be as noticeable.

so did you just mask it off and spray it from the inside? did you sand it at all or anything or just spray it?

Yep masked everything off with the hatch open, and then sprayed it. I didn't sand anything.

It takes awhile to tape it up but the Dot Matrix! mod is worth it.

Taping it up is the hardest part so it maintains that curved shape. Also let it dry for a while and be extremely careful when pulling the painters tape off, if its still not totally dry the paint will come off in sections (prob something to do with the way it adheres to the glass).

The one I used turned out to be a perfect match. I didn't do any prep work besides making sure it was completely clean.

EDIT: Found a picture of the type of paint it was, it was left over from painting my valve covers (The clear in the picture wasn't used for this project).

i painted mine. just alot of tape and flat black. fyi for some reason when the tinter tried putting tint over the paint he said it didnt stick. so make sure that your tape lines are basically perfect.
