I would try something like the Duplicolor Clear. Or go to a paint shop that does aerosol cans, maybe they can do clear too.

Default Spray Max 2K clear!

Ive done a few sets of taillights to give that brand spankin new look and have also done with the night shade. Theres a 2 part clear in a can thats used by bodyshops for cutting in door jams truck etc, Its just like the **** the body shops use but flows alot better IMO. No sanding needed when done!no orange peel either Its called Spray max 2K and is like $20 a can. You can find companys on line that carry it !Trust me man,, Ive even done my own CME valance with this because i was tired of paying a body shop to get it right only to have it a shade off everytime. Red sucks to match LOL So i bought like 10 diffrent, but very close cans of my coded red and tested till i was happy with a match and cleared with this stuff. Its the **** man!! You'll love it and be telling other guys about it after you try it, like im doing to you now LOL It tells you to spay every 2 minutes between coats so the most recent will flow into the last. I did like 3 quick sprays across whatever i was clearing as one coat ,waited 2 minutes did the same thing !3 or 4 coats will be perfect just dont try andrush and lay it on to thick or it will run and ruin your day LOL If so,,,not a biggy let it dry overnight and wetsand it off till you see no more milky looking water while wet sanding and start again Youll be shocked how glass like this **** looks when dry
Good luck Barnat

Man I just used the Duplicolor truck/SUV clear coat in a rattle can & they look great. Would look even better if i would get around to wet sanding & buffing them out right. But I have very minimal orage peel in it so I haven't worried about it. You can only see it up close, but anywhere 5ft or more away you don't even notice it.

This Spay max 2k is actually 2 cans in one that requires taking a specail cap and inserting on a stem on the bottom of the can that when pushed in useing the palm of your hand puntures the hardener and releases it into the upper part of the can containing the actual clear !like i said,,,body shops use this stuff for their tuff cut ins.

That's what I used. Wetsanded with 1500 between coats, and buffed with a two stage polisher finalizing it all.

If you're clearcoating anyway, skip the "nite shade" and just tint the clear. Its a better result, and people do it all the time. If your applying a clear top coat there is absolutely no reason for the VHT its pointless and you'll spend more money than just having the clear tinted

You have to wet sand and polish buff. I would recomend 1200rit, then 1500, then 2000 or so. A little higher woulf be fine. Then a good hard buff with rubbing compond and then finally a nice polish. But im kind of a beginner.....
