Default oem ss hood not lining up

I bought an ss hood from a member on here and he told me their were no fiberglass cracks. I drove 510 miles to pick it up and their is a ton of little ones on the underside of it. I did not see anything that would affect the fitment though, but I cannot get this hood to line up. Is it possible for these hoods to some how warp ? I mean if it was not lining up right wouldn't their be a significant fiberglass break somewhere?

I have tried for hours to get this thing to line up with no avail. I put my stock hood back on and it lines up like butter. Is their any techniques for lining these things up?

Its night time so I will get some pics tomorrow. But when I say its not lining up; I am not talking about an inch or so. This thing is majorly off. I have tried taking off the shocks and just laying the hood on the car and it will not even line up that way. When I get it to where the hood will actually shut the left side is up like an inch. When I get it where the sides are even the slots that the hood levers go in makes it hit. I had to swap out one of the lever latches or whatever you want to call it from my other hood onto this one because it was bent.

oem hoods are fiberglass. Every cars panels are adjusted different. I dont know exactly why it isn't lining up. Has your car ever been in an accident? Maybe you will also have to adjust the fenders to get it to fit.

Are you sure it's an OEM hood? Do you know why the guy sold it?

Sounds like he mite have wanted to get rid of it because it didn't fit, and he said it was OEM so no one would even question fitment.

If it is stock isnt there a number under where the hood hinges bolt up? You may try some fender washers to space it out.
