I heard of it, but never tried it. When i did mine, i used some degreaser that i jacked from work lol. It worked great, but overall the glue wasnt that hard to remove on mine. Most of it came off with the molding. goo gone will work.

EDIT: now that i think about it, i really didnt use the degreaser all that much. Get the hair dryer and heat it up and try to remove it. that should help out some.

If you cut it off with fishing line most of the time the glue residue is much less. But at any rate heat is your friend...heat it up and rub it off with your finger (using a glove!) Without heat it is a PIA to get off! Also I am always fearful of pulling the paint off if you dont use heat to soften the glue.

WD-40 will help if you don't have a hair dryer or heat gun.

if their is alot of adhisve left I use an eraser wheel that you can get at autobody stores, but be careful it can burn through the paint. If their is only alittle left I use 3m adhisve remover.

That's how I did my last 3 vehicles! 04 Trailblazer, 99 Silverado and 02 V6 Bird. That's also how I got a lot of blisters on my fingers! But it worked! I'm gonna try one of those eraser wheels on my WS6 tho just to see if it's any easier.

Mine is coming off, missing the piece on the driver fender from when I replaced it so I'll be taking the rest off next week during break. It doesn't do any good against door dings anyway since most doors seem to hit higher than the molding. Ask me how I know
