Default Olds School SS emblem in billet grille, what type?

I bought a billet grille and was planning on installing an old school SS emblem but I'm not sure which type of car had the emblem I need. Didn't the 69 camaro have a sharp pointed grille? If so that wouldn't work as the LS1 grille isn't pointed as much. I'm thinking a emblem from a 69 or 70 SS chevelle would work. Can anyone clarify? Thanks

I think most people use the 69 Chevelle emblem, but hopefully someone that knows for sure can chime in.

Of course the chevelle emblem is the most expensive. I'm considering the blue bowtie or the white SS eblem. Anyone know of a good place to get a reproduction for a decent price? I've checked with Year One and The Paddock.

Got mine on Ebay. Mine was from a 69 camaro though, and it took some more work. I hear the chevelle is the better fitting one.

Sweet, I ordered the Blue Bowtie for a 69 chevelle from Year One. The thing was $75.00 just for the emblem, wow, this will still be cheaper than buying the SLP grille though. Thanks for the help. BTW Gordo78, your car looks sick with the SS grille and wheels. Nice car man

69 camaro with the RS option fits perfect. Make sure you get the RS one, the other has too severe of an angle.

Yeah I went with the 69 chevelle blue bowtie from Year One and the black powdercoated Stull grille from Afterthoughts Auto. Hopefully this will look good on my NBM SS. I'll snap some pics when I get it all installed.
