Default odd question here about smoke smell

anyone have a good way to get rid of cigarette smoke smell in your car? I dont smoke anymore and the guy I bought the car from did, a lot I'm guessing by the smell. I have leather interior, and aside from buying new carpet just wondering if there was anything i could do? blow out my vents? help me out guys, It gives me a wicked headache riding in this thing for long distances.

drive around a lot with the windows down t tops out and the fan on high. Try shampooing the carpet. Get it detailed by a professional.

Fill a few small containers with baking soda. Might also try newspaper. Loosely wad up newspaper (alot of it) and set it in the car, change frequently. Looks funny, but it absorbs the odor. Shampoo the carpet. Keep at it, it will take a while

I don't know if you could make a deal or something but some used car dealerships use an ozonator that will take the smell right out. I think there are home use ones available now too.

Take your interior out. Shampoo the carpet, wipe your seats down with mild soap and water. Then use a leather conditioner.

With those two thing mentioned i am sure that will get rid a lot of the odor
