odd question here about smoke smell anyone have a good way to get rid of cigarette smoke smell in your car? I dont smoke anymore and the guy I bought the car from did, a lot I'm guessing by the smell. I have leather interior, and aside from buying new carpet just wondering if there was anything i could do? blow out my vents? help me out guys, It gives me a wicked headache riding in this thing for long distances.

Fill a few small containers with baking soda. Might also try newspaper. Loosely wad up newspaper (alot of it) and set it in the car, change frequently. Looks funny, but it absorbs the odor. Shampoo the carpet. Keep at it, it will take a while

I don't know if you could make a deal or something but some used car dealerships use an ozonator that will take the smell right out. I think there are home use ones available now too.
