painted piece under air lid
Well, it's not the greatest paint job in the world, but it's my first attempt. Let me know you all think.

I got some Duplicolor Auto Paint, cleaned the piece up and sanded it with 800 grit. The paint looks really good, but it doesn't match. That's what happens when you have color blindness and try to color match...lol. Looks like i'm gonna be doing some more sanding and painting, but this time i will have someone else pick out the color for me

Looks pretty good to me! Hmmm i used the Duplicolor light pewter and repainted the front lip of my bumper, and it matched. The previous owner had painted behind the billet black, then it flaked off, and they had electrical tape, with brush-on touch up paint over it all over the lip. Some people are geniuses. So i took off all the bullshit electrical tape, sanded, and painted, followed with clear. I bet if you did your inner fenders/shock towers, and the radiator support it would look a lot better.

Looks good. You can get paint that is an exact match in a can. I get mine from "paintscratch" Add the w's and the dot com. It is more expensive than the parts store. The Duplic-color gets very close, but they have a few different "shades" I have been thinking about doing the fenders. Just alot of masking with the engine still there.

Atleast i'm not the only one. And just for anyone else who wants to try it, i am gonna go back with finer grit sandpaper than 800 because it left a few blemishes.
