I didn't watch the youtube link, but isn't that the "Watch this, camera guy" infomercial? I saw something on a news show testing it that said it worked no better than a regular chamois.

ive come to realize sham wow sucks almost entirely; however i did find a reasonable use for it. I use larger sham wows to initiate my drying process after washing my car. They get the majority of the water off and ring out easily so i can get my car mostly dry. I will now take my single microfiber towel and finish drying. I can keep drying the same spots until the streaks are all gone. sham wow saves lives.

I love my shammy. Works amazingly if you use it CORRECTLY. Just the other day I had to show my friend how to dry off his car with it because he was using it wrong.

I'm not sure if a shammy and a shamwow are any different then each other but all I can say is mine was worth the money.

Go with the Absorber. I've used one of those for years upon years. Always works for me.

a chamois and shamwow are diff.. Chamois are usually made out of leather or a substitute much like leather. I have a 5 foot leather chamois I picked up from Costco for $10 and it works 1 million times better than a shamwow. just get it wet ring it out and go to work I could almost dry my whole car without ringing it once.

Same here.. and I follow up with a Drying cloth from Tropi-Care. I have an absorber too.. but its just so much easier using the blade with a good cloth to dry the car.
