Default Ls1 SS spoiler Lt1 style...

Got my modded ls1 spoiler finally on the car. Originally bought it thinking it was a oem spoiler. Found out it was aftermarket and 3rd light had an led out. It was pretty beat up and needed paint and some work. Got it pretty cheap So i decided to do something I haven't seen done and got rid of the pedestals, bought a new third light and new connector to make it plug in like factory so I didn't have to cut the original one or splice it. What y'all think? I actually like the way it turned out. Also I removed the the original emblems and installed 5th gen emblems. Left the rear one off, liking the clean look without out the rear emblem.

I like that a lot. I've had thoughts about modding one of my Camaro SS spoilers in the same way.

that looks great! I preferred the ls1 style ss spoiler because of the taller lip which is why I put one on my car, but am indifferent about the pedestals so this is a great combination of both, well done!

That's exactly what I like about it.

I thought about doing this for a while. Looks good though. I like it better than the lt1 style because it doesn't drop down in the middle for the third brake light. The lt1 spoiler looks like they just added the lip on as an after thought. (I have one on my car.. ) lol

Looks really good. So how did you get rid of the pedestals?

Thanks. The pedestals were cut off and the openings were filled/ covered in bondo. This was all done through the body shop where I work.

I like that a lot. Reminds me of the Mecham camaro spoiler just a little more subtle.
