Default tint %? wheels? springs?

i just recently got a 98z looking to enhance some of the looks but want to keep it mostly stock looking...but it could use some sprucing up.
what window tint should i go with if my car is black?
also i've been eye ballin some black zr1 wheels. i kinda like the idea of staying stock size, tires are cheap as ***** that way lol what do people think of black cars with black wheels? anyone with pics?
also considering i dont have money for lt's or for the tickets id get with this being my daily driver...i have the option of lowering my car a good bit, how low can the stock shocks/struts go safely?
thanks in advance, if you wish to email me pics please send them too juneau90@aol.com id really appreciate some pics to see what you all have done to help the appearance of you fbody.
thanks again

Tint: Since you're car is black, I would get a nice dark tint. Maybe 15%-25%. IMO, limo(5%) tint is way to dark and dangerous. Do some searches for tint and you should find some stuff.

Wheels: I'm a big fan of black on black, but chrome/polished on black looks just as good. Suggestions would be black ZR1's, Z06-gunmetal, polished, or chrome, C5-chrome, TT2's, or Smootie 2's. There are amny others but those are my personal favorites.

Lowering: I would higly suggest replacing the shocks when lowering, especially since you have a 98 and they need to be replaced anyways. There are MANY brands of lowering springs, BMR, MAC, Hotchiks, Eibach, DMS, etc... I have heard nothing but good things about the DMS springs. SLP Bilstein shocks would couple nicely. This is more of a question for the Handling section, look there.

Good luck!

On my black TA I tinted the following:
20% Sides, 15% Rear, 5% TTops, completely agree with Ferocity that 5% on the rear or sides becomes dangerous. The reason I went 15% on the rear, I wanted all the windows to look the same and the tinter suggested that the bigger window will make the tint look lighter. So going just a bit darker made everything look the same Tinted the TTops since the shades are a pain IMO and you feel like you are in a hard top. With the 5% I can still see out a little bit, but has really taken away from that overhead glare

For black rims on a black car, it is a must that you get at the very least a polished lip.

And yes, try to get shocks when you drop the car

i got 5% on everything on my blk ws6 and it looks absolutely beautiful. Yes i do agree with the guys that it is a little risky but just roll down the windows if you have to. i can see through mine well enough to be safe, even backing up( but i have giant bright backup lights.) any tint will look good really, especially on a black car. 5% will look the best imo but it will also cause you the most problems

Take it from me man and DO NOT GET LIMO TINT!!!!!!!

My car had it on straight from the dealer so I figured it wouldn't be a huge deal with the police since i went more than 4 months with it on. Now its like whenever I drive the car (after the ticket) I am paranoid to even have my windows up. It looks really nice on the cars but its not worth the "special" attention that you'll recieve from Mr. 5-0 IMO. I would say go with 30% I didn't bugged at all by police in the summer with it and it still is dark enough to keep the contents of the car out of sight but light enough for people to at least see you.

5% IMO on a black car is the only way to go... Radar detector will tell you if a cop is around.. Havent gotten anything for mine yet... im pretty sure state troopers are the only ones who really car about this tint law. City cops havent seemed to care. Atleast in my case.
