Default Manually lowering power antenna?

My power antenna quit working but its stuck in the up position. I never listen to the radio and I dont like my car looking like an RC car, so is there any way to lower it manually?

Hope this is in the right section.

i know the feeling. when i got my car it was stuck sticking out of the car. i finally decided to take it out and replace with a fixed antenna from a camaro. when i began to remove the power antenna i tried as hard as possible to push it back in side...it wasnt happening. and when i unbolted and unplugged it to take it out, i realized since it was stuck in the up position, when i tried to pull the whole assemble out of the car i couldnt because there wasnt enough room to drop it down into the car and pull it out of the hole. i ended up pulling out some bolt cutters and snipping the mast so that i could remove the entire assembly. a little unorthodox, but it worked for me.

i'm not positive but there might be a gear on the motor to be able to turn the gears by hand or screwdriver or somthing. it doesn't take too long to get in there and see i've not had a problem with mine but when it goes its coming out and geting the hole welded up

I used some "persuasion". I pushed it down with force then unplugged it.
