Default Ram Air Decal Color/Removal

So the stock ram air decal on my hood finally stared peeling off

First question is, what is the technical name of the color of the decal? The car is black, and I'd like the replacement to look as stock as possible.

Second question is, what's the best way of removing the rest of the decal?

all you should need is some goo gone or goof off adhesive remover, or even WD-40. and some paper towels will do. just take some of the adhesive remover on the paper towel, and slowly work off the letters.

for the decal replacements id check out ws6store's selection of ram air decals. i'd assume you should be able to find something pretty close to stock on there: http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1405

Thanks for the help guys. Would anyone happen to know if the stock decals are reflective? I want to try to get away with only replacing one side so it has to match.

go shine a light on the one thats still good, or take a pic of it with flash on. that should tell you whether it is or isn't. because even if it started out as reflective, since you're trying to match the old to a new you should get the new one based on the old one's current condition.

anywhere you buy them will sell them as a set. so why not just take both off so you know that you're starting off fresh on both sides. plus they will be 100% matching
