Default Need Rear Camaro Pictures (Which Tips Do You Have?)

When I bought the SS it had a Flowmaster catback with cutout installed. It actually sounds really good, and I can open up the cutout for more free flow, but I hate the look of the slant cut tips that look like they belong on dualed out truck. I love the CME tips, but for right now it's more than I need to spend on the car. I'm looking into cutting and rewelding the pipes so that they go up into the bumper, then installing two turndowns above the bumper line so that the tips vanish and the rear of the SS is clean. I am curious to see what tips everyone is running though. Maybe there is a better option to keep tips like Corsa clones, C6 Vette tips, Mecham or some other oval tips, etc. Post what you've got.

When I had my old LT1 Camaro back in the day, it had the turndowns and it was very clean.

Flowmasters with no cutout. I believe it's either a 3" or 3.5" can't remember. But I don't like the sound... not loud enough for me at all.

No tips look so clean. I have to ditch these ugly truck tips.

Cobrahunter, those look really really good too. B&B?

dont get turndowns cause if yo set there and hit the gas and rev up like we all have done it at some point in time the turndowns will end up blowin up dirt and dust then wheres it all gonna go..... on your car then thats more you gotta clean up. i would go to get the CME and install it cause they look the best and they look the cleanest if you have the back CME lip

i would agree, but the price is pretty high, like $450 for cme lip + $250 tips + another $2-300 for paint = way too much. plus OP said he doesn't want to spend that much

i just picked one of the tips from the huge selection my exhaust shop had

On the cheap..i'd get some clones and call it good til your ready for a CME. Heres my old corsa's. I like the look from the direct rear, but from the sides..the pipes and hangers drove me nuts. So i waited for the valance to be made by 6litereater, took too long so i went with CME. Then it came out and the openings are out to far But he likes it and thats all that matters Josh, i sure do miss seeing pics of your GTO

i think camaros without any bdy kit on the rear look BEST with the exhaust dumped....no tips looks really clean. but if you do have some sort of kit (cme lipo, dual valence, or RS GFX kit) i think you should just pick what tips you feel look best- there arent too many i've seen that look bad, so your options are pretty open. the reason i like the kit better with tips is because it helps give the exhaust a cleaner look from the sides

josh99ta since you have an SS, so no kit or anything, id go with something like what you said where you dont actually seen the tips, or just go dumped

I'm with litemup02 on the corsa clones and saving for cme. I also like the slp dual/dual, and c6 tips. I like your idea of having the exhaust tuck up behind the bumper and being hidden also. But the muffler would still be kind of visable and might look weird, unless you painted the exhaust black to kind of camoflauge it.

When I bought my car it had a flowmaster cat-back with these tips. I put a GMMG on it and kept the tips because they're stainless and I liked them.
