Default What is your favorite Camaro grille?

Just wanted everybody's opinions on which grille is your favorite. I am really leaning towards going with the RK Sport grille because if the clean, shaved look.

Yeah im pretty torn between the SLP and RK Sport. I just REALLY like the clean look of the RK sport, and Im not a huge fan of the Bowtie in the grille area. Do you think that the carbon fiber would look ricer on my MTM?

dude not so big on the carbon fiber on these cars... what i plan on doin was getting a black SLP grill, and just painting the bowtie NBM to match the color of my car.

i really really like when people paint the SLP grill. You gotta look that up, its amazing. Either paint the inner wedges the color of your car and the lines that cross the bowtie black, or visa-versa (like this guy https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...aya-think.html ) and its very sexy

I would go SLP. If you do that you can keep the grill gloss black and paint the bowtie mystic or do something like this where the grill is painted.

heeey i hear an echo lol.. someone doesn't read threads

https://ls1tech.com/forums/appearanc...slp-grill.html here is the other way around. but i am liking the first way around now.

it depends on how much black accents you got on your car i guess. whistler and blackouts make this option look better

maybe first way around for darker cars, and second way around for lighter cars

Yeah I definately like it better with just the center line and outside edges painted to match like the tangerine car. Wow, glad I didn't just buy the RKS grille.

either way you go, whether it be to paint it one way or the other, or just leave it black and paint the emblem to match your car, i think the SLP grill is definitely the way to go. i love min. since my car is already black i just painted the bowtie a silver color to set it off. i get a lot of compliments on the front of my car now with this grill, compared to anything i've had before.

i think the problem with the rks grill is that its overall design, to me, looks lazy and and not all the way thought through...just throw a wall up over the grill and call it a day. it looks way to plain, and leaves much to be desired. same with billitt griills with no bowtie, which is why i got rid of mine after a while.

^removing the plastic stocker is ONLY a good option to me if 1) you are trying to save money and 2) you are okay with leaving the holes the way they are-no filling, no painting. i personally fitted in to this classification for a couple months, got some chrome fill-ins and i was all good (it looked just like the camaro Giddswat posted, minus the filled holes), till i got the money for the SLP.

--reason i say this is because at the point you are going to go through the process of filling the holes, you then have to paint the whole front facia to get it all blended. and at the point you will have spent more than the SLP grill costs. which would be okay, if it came out looking better, but TO ME, that is not the best look for this car. IMO, the best looking grill (for stock front bumper, with no front end modifications. ie: DH cars) is the SLP grill, it fits the car perfectly, no matter what you do with it.
