Default How Do You Like These T/A Tail Lights

please dont turns this into a flamming thread.

The only reason i would consider doing this is because cops around my area give people alot of **** for blacked out tail lights, and im kinda tired of the red.

My car looks almost identical to that one but i have corsa tips so they look a little beefier, the only thing i would change is i would use a little darker paint to paint the inside reflectors, so they wouldnt stick out so much, and use brighter bulbs. Tell me what do you think about this

thanks

i thinks it looks good but the tail light would have to be the same style and the red bird would have to go imo.

you will get lots of heat from die hard TA owners

I say leave them red. If you go clear you should also make the third brake light lens clear, and polish the filler panel.

I will say, I like them actually. Throw in some kind of LED's or something and I think it would look sexy. Hell, I'd sport them if I knew where to buy them or a how to guide on how to do that.

not sure if you know or not, but that picture IS photoshopped. this came up in a thread a bit ago with people trying to find a way to clear them like that, but from what i remember, Nobody was able to find a way to do it, where as there was a way to do it with LT1 tails. so just in case you were thinking somebody actually did that, just wanted to let you know that picture is photoshoped to look like that.

If it was an easy mod I would so do it. I think only would work with a black car.

unless you can find someone who can form new lenses for you, and then mask off the pattern and shoot that black this isnt possible sadly

i was actually thinking sort of the same thing earlier. i really do think there is a way to do it, and i dont think it would be too hard. though, i may be getting ahead of myself. i've een people doing headlights where they make their own lenses like you said. if you can make a replacement lense out of plexi-glass or lexan for it. and then if you go on ebay, theres a seller who makes honeycomb decals that you can put on any lights to look like T/A lights. so if you have your replacement clear lenses and then add these decals, you will essentially, have cleared T/A tails. i think it could be done. i've actually had this idea for a couple months now, and wanted to do it first. but, quite frankly, i have no urge to try it out. so i figure i might as well post my simple idea, maybe someone can make it reality.

for anyone considering, here's a seller who sells the decals

that's the only reason I did the black/red themee for my trans am . cause I couldn't figure out how to do clear honeycomb tails. They look badass!!
