just wondering if HTC aluminized steel, can be sanded down and polished down to look like chrome? im thinking of doing my MAC cat back muffler (the tips are already polished) it has a really coarse and no shine finish.

Aluminized steel can not be polished to look like chrome. If you try you'll be left with bare steel that will rust. You could put a clear coat over it but it probably won't hold up very well. If you must have shiny exhaust you can replace your pipes with polished stainless. Or you could chrome the exhaust you have now but it would probably cost you more than the first option. Good luck

i sanded the paint that was on it off, an tried to get it to shine a little bit, i came out alright, it definitely looks alot better than the white gray paint that was on it, if worst comes to worst im just gonna paint it black so it blends in alot better, the pipes and tips are already chromed so those are good
