98-02 Clear Corner Project
First off let me say I am no where near completing this project. Everything is still rough and it's just something I started to work on today because it was waaaay too cold to wetsand the car (30s in florida what?)
My corner housings were garbage due to the previous owner of the vehicle, whoever painted the car didn't bother to take them out and there was overspray all over the place. Plus the bulb sockets are garbage as well. So instead of spending $40 on new corner housings and $40 on new sockets I'm using some cheap parts I had laying around the garage. Clear acrylic = $3.15 a sheet and LED light strips were like $10 a piece but I've had them laying around since another project.
Simply started out using the boxed end of a 22mm wrench to knock the plastic out and take some anger out lol, heat gun and needle nose plyers to get the rest out, just need to get the rest of the silicone glue out. Enough with the talking here are the pictures, it'll prolly be a little while before I update as it's supposed to warm up so I should be able to finish sanding the car before it gets primed and so on.

really the hardest part was getting the nasty stock lenses off, those suckers are hard as stone and the sealant must have a temp rating of like 1000 degrees lol. I actually might go ahead and finish this since ASAP I'll be spraying the front bumper before everything else (well just certain parts of it to ensure i get all the nooks and crannies).

yea i used to freqent that board every now and then, mainly just use it for research purposes now. I am pretty confident with my abilities to work with LEDs, it's nice to buy ones with resistors already built in tho lol. I have a three day weekend coming up so I should have them finished by at least Sunday haha.

three day weekend is here, will have pics up by sunday if finished. working outside in this 30 degree weather here in florida gives me no motivation to go out in the garage when i get home to be in the weather even longer haha. I suppose it's better than the usually 90+ degrees with 100% humidity.
