Default Removing stock grill

Now I need to take out my stock grill but I don't want to break is or pry on it and cause any stress fractures. I took off each horizontal end but there are more clips in the center. Can anyone walk me through?

you can crawl underneath & cut the heads off with large wire cutters or do the yank & pull method....i have done both.....

if you yank.....i would make sure the car paint is warm(just incase its cold where you are?) and yank good & hard......

Whatever you do....DO NOT YANK ON IT. Do it the right way and take your front facia off, lay it on a smooth serface and remove it properly. It only takes about an hour to remove and put back on. The are only 2 hard bolts to reach, but with an extention and a swivel, it;s no problem.

Three flanged screw nuts hold the grill on to the front bumper cover. The best way especially if you are changing the grill is to remover the front bumper cover completely.

It took me about 45 minutes to remove the front bumper cover on my car, take the old grill off, put a new one on and reattach the front bumper cover.

I did the yank and pull..no stress marks and my bumper is fine. I would've done it by taking off the front bumper cover but I didn't read any of those responses until after..oh well. This is the new grill:

Here are your choices:

(1) just pull of the grill from the front, slowly, one by one. If you aren't going to re-use the grill, don't trip about any stress fractures (I chose this option)

(2) COMPLETELY take off the front fascia and then remove the clips/tabs holding the grill in place
