its all ppg global paints. the black is just staright black, i think the silver is a gm one and the flames are actually just extra straight blue pearl from a hyundia 3 stage paint job i was doing

Hey can you please tell me the steps in sanding down that lid so smoothly?
I spent alot of time on mine and I could not get it the same.
Hard to see in this picture but there is some slight texture left after I painted.
I want to repaint it and get it completely smooth like yours.
Thanks man!

^^^ Looks like u did not put the clear on thick enough. If you want the plastic smooth. sand it with 120 then primer then sand with 320 then primer then sand with 800 and so on

If you want that flat finish, scuff the lid with red(400 grit) scotch brite, smooth out any major imperfections, then use a adhesion promotor before you put anything else on it. This will keep out any contamination, and help the sealer/primer bit better. Once the adhesion promotor is on, seal it, paint it, clear it. And beat that clear on. If its still not perfectly smooth wet sand, and buff the clear. Should be no reason for primer.

i sanded mine with 120 grit first and then primed it, and sanded the primer and it was ready for paint. reprime it until it is perfectly smooth, cause paint will hide no imperfections. sand with 400 or 500 before paint. and yeah it does look a little dry at the bottom
