Can You powder coat a water pump
Im in the stage of taking stuff off for powder coating and chroming.I was wondering If I could powder coat the water pump without taking the seals and all out of it.Thought I should ask before I take it off.Let me know Thanks Ronnie

It's Powder Coating, and to do it correct (to sinter the powder) you need temps in the 200 to 300 degree range minimum, for most commercial coatings... That would prob cause some warping, and the like - and I would wonder how you would keep the powder out of the shaft.....

sorry for the miss spelling anyway TTT for some more help I dont like spray paint I like the best result and look if Im going to go through the trouble Im going to get it done right

I was told you CAN NOT powder a water pump unless you take it ALL apart.. there are internal parts that would not survive the heat process.. you could polish it though. Im also working with a place to see if they can rebuild them and in the process chrome the pump and the bell.
I like the Mezire (sp?) pump though..
