Default VFN WS6 4" sloped hood

Did a search and found limited pics.I'm interested in detailed pics and a pic from inside the car to see how high it is.

Had to order one for my car due to the intake setup which is 2-3" above the fenders.

id do a custom cut out of some other hood before i would get the 4". just doesnt look right to me.

i have no clue what the title of the thread was, and its quite old, but if you do an intensive search through here, theres a thread that had quite a few pictures of the Ws6 hood you're asking about.

I agree on the looks but I'm limited with the motor combo on room.Would much rather see a cowl hood made for a TA like they have for Camaro's. To customize the hood it would cost alot of $$ to make a cowl that would support the steel hood from bending with how much we have to cut out.

Here is what I'm dealing with on room. This is also without the inlet pipe which will extend it forward.

Our 4" hoods will clear what you have under the hood

The best pic we have is of the two hoods side by side on our website...the black T/A has the older style (non sloped) hood ...and the red has the sloped version.

We did make the sloped a little more rounded like our Sunoco hoods for the Camaro's...and instead of coming straight back and hitting the windshield at a high point (like the older version), the new sloped is similar to the Sunoco because it does dip down in the back so it gives better visibility.

You might have to lose the wipers though

Those are pin on extended hoods. Looking for pics of the non-extended bolt ons.
The wipers have to stay,it will be driven in the rain.

Like Christopher Titus said on Rides, that's what they make Rain-X for.

Just kidding. Would the ws9 outlaw work?

I'd love to have measurements. The problem is my throttle body is inbetween both scoops where it's alot lower on that hood.

Wish I had a spare WS6 hood here to cut up.

Well,it's good to know that is the reg. hood and not the sloped one.The sloped one should be shorter up near the windshield area which is what I would want.

I just need one.. Can I use yours
Got the flat hood now and it will require cutting 3/4 of the center of the hood and then it will have no bracing at all in the middle.

there is a bolt on vfn factory ram air hood in the for sale section for $275 with a small low spot on the side, may give that a shot to cut up

Sucks you can't use a stock ram air hood because imo they look the best but the sloped version on the red car looks slot better than the one on the black car
