i actually saw the hatch in the other thread and liked it. wouldnt mind better pics, esp how it flows into the panel before the spoiler. (reminds me a lot more of an old mr2 than a del sol. which i consider a swing for the better). whats the story on it? manufacturer/etc?
if you want flames i can bring up how i dont like half cf/half painted panels without coherency (if it was black panels and you left that stripe in raw cf, for instance). but like everyone says, to each his own.
ill always give props for ingenuity

that didn't answer my question at all. He said it IS a weight reduction not that he's concerned with losing weight. he was just pointing out that it weighs less than the original window....

If he typed it out, and made it a point, hes obviously concerned with it enough to use it as an excuse for putting the aweful thing on there lol. The only ever car I've seen with that hatch was a black Z28....has spray painted interior pieces, gaudy emblems everywhere, some dude from NC I think....the things wins awards all the time. I guess that goes to show that SOME people like it, but me........I'd rather just drive the Del Sol it was designed after haha.
I agree that if the entire car was CF......then you could leave a DH stripe down the side in exposed CF or soemthing, but having the entire thing CF is just odd looking. A different set of wheels, like something more unique or something with a massive lip to compliment the wide stance would help this car out more than anything, though.

For my brake setup 18+ are needed for clearance, they also provide better handling to boot. The window is lexan. The hatch is modeled after the older vettes http://www.rksport.com/main/part_det...mdid=1&catid=4
also the strips are not on it anymore and the calipers are about to be re powercoated its goin back to black. and like i said im waitin for the doors so it wont have the black doors in a month or so.
keep the flames comin !

i have nothing against the car really. i like the direction its going in. and i see it's costing a lot to get it there. keep doing what your doing with it. theres no point in trying to keep everyone else happy, its your car.
on a side note...
holy hell!!! that thing is $800 big ones. i thught it was just a few hundred. damn thats a lot. i hope you do love it.

I don't think it looks that bad, it makes the car look different...... its your car and I am glad you're doing what satisfies your eyes..... I see many don't like the hatch but isn't that why the 4th gen f-body got discontinued??? Since it didn't attract customers?? I might be getting off topic here, but its your car, do what pleases you.
