need more appearance mods...
so untill i go overseas and have the $$$ for my complete build up i need some more ideas to keep me occupied and to keep the progress of my car moving forward. i don't have too much green to spend so it has to stay relatively cheap so rims are out of the question
ok all the appearance goodies so far:
hood scoop vinyl
whistler mod
clear corners(that i ended up tinting)
tinted rear marker lights
tinted windows
slp lid
slp bellow
hurst chrome handled shifter w/ hurst black ball
ok so i was thinking of doing coil relocations:
http://estore.websitepros.com/212053...s+and+brackets
then ether painting the stock valve covers or preferabley getting these:
but that stuff ^ is just a start i need need need need more ideas. doesn't have to be engine bay ether, it can be any appearance mod.

Things that immediately stood out:
hard-wire that radar detector and find a better mounting location for it.
Shorty antenna
Lowering springs (I'd recommend doing shocks at the same time as springs, not sure what your budget looks like but if you can swing it, do it...)

Well from one pewter SS owner to another, I made my 10 spokes black, manta stripe, lots of engine bay work, here are some pics maybe you can get a few ideas. Pewter is a really nice color to work with, there are a lot of combos you can do.
engine bay possibilities
looks dirty in this pic, but stock grill with a few coats of enamel = looks glossy 24/7
blacked out tail lights, i actually just ordered another set because i keep getting pulled over for these and don't want to deal with cops anymore.
black wheels and pewter really does the trick for me!
anyways, hope i gave you a few ideas to keep you busy.

yofab, sorry but i'm not into adding more weight to my car. also not into much shiny stuff. unless its functional ie: fuel rails, tb, steel braided fuel lines etc etc.
also not into FRC's. i'de much rather relocate the coil packs and slap on some real clean vavle covers like i posted. however, i am interested in doing something with the lid. just not sure what yet. how hard are they to paint?
the car will get FULL suspension from strano and rims after afghanistan, so the stance will get fixed.
berger panel= IMO
and i REALLY like tinted tails with the reverse light left white.
i wanna try doin this look with the vinyl, but again i can't find it anywhere. i wish someone would chime in.

^ i posted up a link for you in the other thread.
if you're gonna do them they way you want, the easiest way would be to install them as the full sheet they come in, and then once they're on, use a razor blade to trim off the clear area.
based on where your car sits, i would add an SLP grill, which really cleans up the front a lot. much better than the stock grill IMO. and since you'll be doing your tails black, id also black out the 3rd brake light. and also swap the red chevy bow-tie with a black/silver trimmed one- to match the SS emblem.
other than that, not much else. it already looks great now. you cant really go wrong with a pewter SS. my only other suggestion would be a set of smooth lock covers (unless you actually use the key to get into the doors/trunk) if you paint them to match they will really clean up the appearance. it's the simple things that make a big difference: http://www.smoothlock.com/ -you can buy them through the WS6store.com or afterthoughtsauto.com
link? key words?
i think i'm going to get these and do a cut out around the reverse light.
