Default lazy eye mod??

i have no specs or a plan just wondering if anyone else ever considered it for the flip up lights on a firebird 98+.

lazy eye is where the headlight would not flip up all the way.

my thought was this in conjuction with new headlights (93-97 camaro style or retrofit projectors) so it would have normal light output just wouldnt open up so much.

anybody else ever thought of this

Seen it on several Vettes, but never thought about it on a TA. Don't know how it would look since the lids are really curved and funny shaped. lol.

^I agree. They look somewhat "lazy" as it sits right now. Not sure why you would want to do this anyway.

i think when the headlights are up they look like dog ears. so if there was a way to adjust the beams (ie install diferent housings, projectors whatever) so the lights worked the same as far as output goes, but the flip up part wouldnt have to go up as far.

i agree it would look stupid if the headlights still pointed straigt down, and there would be no point

You know you can do the C5R conversion so they wont pop up at all

Btw- I love what you've done to your car man! It looks so hawt.
Anyway, get me a pic of your car with the headlights up (in a fairly decent angle like mine above) and I can try a chop when I get out of class.

i think they should be a little more closed then on the chop, just my opinion though. you could probably wire up a controller from another car relatively simply.

i personally think it would look pretty cool on an lt1 car

those driving lights in the black TAs front bumper are sick as hell

thanks evil that gives me a good idea, my only fear is that doing it that way would prematurly burn the motor out. i know they are designed to stop on resistance but i would think that would kill the plastic gears on the 98+ headlight motors. still its a direction thanks again
