Default Custom SS Hood Grill

I've searched around and haven't found anything...but I was wondering if anyone made a chrome or stainless hood insert for the SS hoods? I'm trying to get rid of the black plastic one that's on the car now. Does anybody make them or are the ones I've seen home made? Any ideas?

I've wondered this myself. I think it looks pretty cool with no grill in there but I thought I might try to make my own. The stock plastic one doesn't really do anything for me.

I have a pewter Z and I think maybe a black billet grill would look tight. Any other ideas?

I like the HONEYCOMB style from ^

Too bad no one makes the chromed stock one like they used to. Mines 8 years old and the chrome is fading

my friend did this on his mustang, but here is an idea... take the stock on out and gut it, and try some wire mesh and use the bracketry of the stock housing and the wire mesh would be the grill... kinda like the people that run with not grill inserts and just put mesh in the holes so it's just not the bumper styerphom (however you spell that) ... iunno just another idea out there for yall

call me crazy but i like stock grill. the only option i like better is shaving the hole out and not using a grill.

Thanks for the link! I might see if I can come up with something now that I've got a few ideas. Thanks again!
