Default Thinking of painting my wheels black. Now Gunmetal!!

I was thinking of painting my stock Z/28 wheels black. My car is pewter. I don't have the money for new wheels at this time. Any one have pics of black stock wheels? Thanks.

The stock z28 wheels painted black may not look as good. I bet you could find someone's old 10spokes for cheap

My brother (02gtp4now) used to have his stock five spokes painted dark charcoal on his bgm car and it looked good so I think they would look good on a pewter car

Ya, the wheels are 16's. I was also thinking of gunmetal. I painted my wheels on my black gp that color. They looked great.

Here is mine on some painted black Firebird 16" rims.

Do it right and it can look good. It's all about prep work when your painting them. I'd still like to get some 17" powder-coated wheels, but for being on a budget I've gotten a lot of complements on them.

My buddy Sommer86 had his 10 Spokes Powder Coated black. Check out his albums in his profile for some pics

By the way... My gloss black powder coated 10 spokes are for sale with center caps and lugnut covers.

They are the same wheels that are on the cover of the LS1Tech calendar.

I would keep a silver lip on the wheels. All black wheels only hurt the appearance of a car no matter what the color is.

It didn't hurt the appearance of the LS1tech calendar cover car....

1gt2nv if you are unsure about the idea of painting your 16's I have a set of 10 spoke wheels I would get rid of for a fair price. They are flaking some so would need to be sanded a little first but I would let them go for a reasonable price to free up room in my garage. We are also both from the Wausau area so that would rule out the cost of shipping.
