Default T/A Headlight Mod

I was wondering if there was a way to make the headlights on a Trans Am go down when the headlight switch is turned to the parking light setting.

Not that I know of, just switch the lights off and then go back to parking setting. Maybe someone can chime in.

Just curious why you want to do this?

Only time I have ever had a problem with this is when I had a stripped gear in my headlight motors. Other then that when I turn the parking lights on and my headlights off they go down.

If I turn mine to park lights the headlights stay down, if I go all the way to headlights and back to park the lights go out but stay up. If they go up I have to shut them all the way off and then back to park to get them to stay down with the fogs on

The headlights are NOT supposed to pop up when going from OFF to Parking lights.
If going from ON(up) to Parking lights they will stay up.
Just turn them off and then go to Parking Lights.

If you have any issues otherwise, your gear is stripped.

That is obviously the scenario, going from on to parking. I don't really wanna go all the way off since the HIDs in my fogs won't really like it.

Ninjai_ruken says that his LT1 does what I want, can anyone else confirm this? I figure if this is the case I can probably switch out headlight door controllers (or whatever they're called) and be good to go.

Mine stay down the only time they come up when the parking lights are up is if the headlight gear is stripped

Can you give me an example as to when you'd need this, and don't want to go through the trouble of clicking the switch one more turn to close the lids?

I don't need this at all. I would rather not turn all of the lights off then back on because HIDs don't like being turned off then right back on.
