i found some on ebay but after lookin at a stock picture of the 98-02 3rd brake light assembly it differs slightly....looks like its not as long as this unit underneath.

heres the stock one:

heres the link to the one on ebay for about half the price..says it will fit a 97 trans am.

but heres another "stock" one that looks more like this aftermarket one...says it will fit a 97 trans am aswell.

so it appears that they are slightly differant from the pics. does anyone have a 97 t/a they can take a pic of their rear spoiler and post up a pic....i was under the impression that the rear spoilers were all the same but appears not to be.

OK...saw this on another add and now it makes sense:

1993-1997 PONTIAC FIREBIRD
FIT WITH FLUSH MOUNTING SPOILERS ONLY
**WILL NOT FIT MODELS WITH SPOILER THAT ARE RAISED**

so it looks like these are trans am convertible 3rd brake light assemblies and wont
fit the raised spoiler t/a. damn, got my hopes up...lol.

^Got my hopes up too but I figured it wouldnt work. I dont think were ever going to see these again. Its been mentioned in 6LE threads and always gets ignored.
