TEASER: Matte Black Stripes on T/A
Two months after purchasing my stripes from Fourth Circle Designs I finally had the opportunity to put them on. It was definitely a long day, let me just say that. The first stripe was a major pain in the **** and my dad, who was spotting me by holding the stripe in position, decided to let go for some reason and my stripe folded over and ****. Even after spending 2 hours fixing all the imperfections in that one ram air stripe there was this relentless rise/flap... I had to exacto knife it so the air underneath could release and both ends can lay flat. It looked weird so I ended up making the cut wider to have it look like it was part of the design (w/e it's a fix and to be honest it doesn't bother me, so that's all that matters). The stripes came out great in the long run, both stripes on the hood are perfectly aligned. I measured and the d/s one is just 1/2 of a cm higher... = Perfection lol. I'll take better pics tomorrow..... I'm still deciding if I should put the spoiler and sail panel stripes on, I kind of like how it is right now, but we'll see.
..enough of the yibber yabber here's some pics....
I first washed the whip, claybarred w/ Meguiars clay bar kit, and wiped it down w/ rubbing alcohol
I started w/ the hood stripes and used tape to set my markers for reference
here's the modification I had to make in order to break the fold
this bitch just kept looking at me w/ her dumb gorilla toy lol
I cleaned underneath the spoiler w/ my good old M105/M205 combo.
I love how my custom rear deck stripes taper out. I will be updating this thread w/ more pics tomorrow . Let me know what you think ..

very nice thanks!
I'm doing the spoiler and sail panel first thing tomorrow morning and will surely take some pics and post them up.... and ya my dog has the craziest chuck norris stare.... i'll be doing something for like 4 hours outside and then i'll take one look at her to make sure she didn't go chase a squirrel or something....and she'll just give me the ******* evil eye and I can tell she's telling me "bitch, I wanna play" ...pretty long run on sentence
haha you've been houndin me down to get off my *** and put them on. they loook sick in person. the rear stripes definitely complete the rear end look and ties in all the accents very nicely. what do you think about that modification I had to make in the stripes to get rid of that bend? If you were in my shoes would you leave it or would you attempt to put a piece of leftover vinyl in between.
thanks man! it's a Trufiber WS9 hood. once this bitch is turbod those heat extractors will actually be of use lol.

i just bough some Clearkote Carnauba Moose since it was recommended and was told that its pure sex on black cars.
how often do you detail your car with the m105/m205 combo?

I only did a quick buff on the rear deck. Just to clean up all the marks from the spoiler and some water spots. i didn't wax it cause I had to keep the paint in a condition that adheres to vinyl easily, but the wax I swear by is Wolfgang's Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I have yet to try Zaino, but this **** is just amazing.. you can use it over a carnauba wax and the paint just looks mesmerizing....so deep and wet. I really wanna try zainos waxes though.

I haven't done a full detail for my paint yet. I will probably give it one in may.. I just painted the entire front end, spoiler, side mirrors, and rear bumper 3k miles ago.
