Default Opinion on these led tails

When I bought the camaro it has a crack in the driver side taillight. I saw these on Ebay and I can't decide if these would look right.

If I got them I would nightshade them. to hide the "rice" vibe they put out. But it would be sweet to have leds.

Whats your guys opinion?

Those actually look WAY nicer than any altezza/euro-styled "rice" chrome tail lights i've ever seen. I think as long as you night shade them a decent amount (enough so that you can't see that it's totally clear) then they should look pretty good.

The LED brake lights should look awesome tinted.

They also make a set that is like that except they are black inside instead of all chrome (still has little chrome reflectors for the LEDs). That might nightshade better since they are mostly black already...

I agree with this post, they are not appealing as is, but tinting them would hide the internal hardware and still allow for the LED look. Would be interesting to see how they look with a few coats of VHT.

Found these, a little less cheesy looking:

I don't like them, but a good coat of tint might make them look ok

Im not a fan of tinted tails but if you get those, Tinting them would be the way to go.

who cares how they look. all that matters in your decision is which light pattern you want more AT NIGHT. either way you're nightshading them. so they'll look the same any time except wneh they're lit up .

so, since you want the LED look, get the led style.

No, those are still chrome inside with the lens "pre-smoked" (barely). These are what I meant:

As they are, I'm not a fan... but maybe nightshaded they could look OK I suppose...

Get some stock ones and put LED bulbs in them if you really want to say you have LED lights.

The smoke lens LED taillights would look badass with a small tint of VHT on them

I actually like them, but they will need some niteshade.. I don't like the ones with chrome that you picked out but the red ones and the black ones are nice.. There is acually pictures someone of a black camaro that has these and niteshaded them and they look awesome...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-94...item4839f4b66d
i think if you red out the white and tit them a little with nightshade to a dark red it be sick
...i just wish it was black behind the lens rather than chrome

ive seen a tinted set on a camaro and they look ok. it would be better if they came up with a creative turn signal and brake signal setup, instead one side flashes and the other stays solid. Meh

I'd like to see that company make the BLACK housing with RED lens...I think that would look pretty cool.

I know it's not one of your options you listed. But I think factory housings plus this looks badass if you want LEDs. ...if you have the electronics skills.
