Default stupid windshield

well i dont know if any of you have any idea what im talking about but here i go. i have a 93 camry. ever since the 1st day owning it i have not been able to keep the windshield clean. iv use real glass cleaner and iv even had it detailed. after 2-4 days you can see smear marks from cleaning it (up & down, side to side type deal). anyone know why this is and how i can keep it clean?

back when I was a detailing scrub. i would use armorall to clean the upper instrument panel/ upper dash and after cleaning my windshield an hour later there would be a haze there. It's from the chemicals that evaporate from the suns heat. Start using petroleum-free products or using less of products to clean your dash. that's my 2 cents.

yeah i use stoner's glass cleaners on my car too, because it's tint friendly, but I haven't had any problems w/ it, besides all this pollen dirtying it up the next day. it's bullshit.. even when I'm driving w/ the windows down... pollen gets into my car and coats my interior w/ a fine level of dust. .. are you sure you're interior isn't experiencing any water intrusion?

you'd smell the leaky heater core as a sweet scent.

have you ever put rain-x, or something similar on the glass? if so that is your problem, it will leave a film behind, that cannot be removed. even with gasoline! i had this problem on my truck about a 2 years ago, ended up just replacing it.

you can try "bar keepers friend" it works miracles on glass, but as i said dont get your hopes up...

What type of rag are you cleaning with. If you are using the soft paper towels, they are treated with something that will never let you get your glass streak-free. Use the cheap thin kind, or coffee filters, or newspaper.

A brand name of paper towels? Not really. Usually just whatever generic cheap off-brand that your local store carries. Stay away from the thick ones that advertise to be super-absorbent, like Bounty.
